As part of the delivery of the Maison Relais in Reuler, we designed a modular building intended to welcome children in an environment that is both functional, warm, and safe. Conceived as a true living space, the project includes multiple activity areas, allowing children to be accommodated in spaces tailored to their needs, between school time and family life.
The interior layout was designed to promote everyday well-being, with bright spaces, smooth circulation, and a functional organization. The internal staircase structures the volumes and facilitates access to the different areas, while the sanitary facilities are practically integrated and adapted to intensive use.
The building fully meets the needs of the childcare facility. The spaces are functional, well-organized, and provide a high-quality environment on a daily basis.
Particular attention was paid to the overall atmosphere of the building, notably through the use of warm materials, appropriate color schemes, and a design that enhances acoustic comfort—an essential element in a childcare environment.
On the exterior, the colored façade cladding and architectural elements such as the solar shading canopy contribute to the building’s identity, while ensuring harmonious integration into its surroundings.
This project fully illustrates the ability of modular construction to create high-quality, sustainable, and pleasant spaces, perfectly tailored to the needs of communities and users.
